Currently I'm reading "An Optimist's Tour of the Future" by Mark Stevenson, which is a fascinating bit of non-fiction.

Just over half way through The Saint by Dan Abnett. The second omnibus of the Gaunt's Ghosts novels. Really enjoying it, especially as I like the Warhammer 40k setting.
Also reading Kraken by China Mieville. Just started it so cant say too much yet but I love his books.

This morning I started "One flew over the cuckoo's nest", I like to have the occational SF break

The Devil in Amber by Mark Gattis - excellent 1st line "He was American, so it seemed only fair to shoot him."

About to start Game of Thrones. 

Just finished "One Flew Over the Couckoos Nest", very good
Now starting "A Spell for Chameleon" by Piers Anthony.

Haven't read Piers Anthony for years, I did get to about book 12 in the Xanth series (A spell for Chameleon being the first) before the punning got to much for me

That Logicomix looks intriguing, have ordered it from Amazon....

Definatly falls into the -graphic non-superhero- catagory I was asking you about.
Gotta get to number 15 in Xanth - The Color of Her Panties

I am poised to jump into the world of Tom Sharpe, reading The Gropes.
