Just on
Hal Spackjock the second course, by Simon Haynes, very funny stuff.
Neuromancer - William Gibson, never read it before, very good
A! the father of cyberpunk good if you like CP
Just finished Charles Stross' The Fuller Memorandum - third of the Laundry books.
Next, I shall be departing into the realms of non-fiction once again. Wish me luck!
Good luck...
I have "The Jennifer Morgue", would yo say I had to read "The Atrocity Archives" (which I don't have) 1st?
Recently listened to "Jonny & the Dead" by some unknowen hack
Andi mate, I read Jennifer Morgue before Atrocity Archive and it made little or no difference. The only thing that may throw you is that IN JM he has a gorlfriend (Mo) who he meets in the first book. But other than that youre all good. Hope you enjoy it, I love the Laundry books and am just starting The Fuller Memorandum. Good fun stuff in a James bond/Hp Lovecraft sorta way.
Splendind, thanks Iain
Finished "The Line of Polity" by Neal Asher - pretty good, maybe bot the greatest writing but a great fun story.
Now reading "The Wide Window" by Lemony Snicket as a little light one before starting:
House of Suns by Alastair Reynolds
Was reading Drood by Dan Simmons but could not get into it so gave up leaving it for another day.
Still reading Stalingrad (at work)
Just finished So I bought a Zoo by Benjamin Mee which was excellent and starting Let the Right one In which has grabbed me straight away!
The City & The City by China Mieville. It reminds me of Gorky Park for some reason.
