Just finished The Gone Away World by Nick Harkaway, which was really good. Interesting post apocalypse story, and an angle on the main character. Really good read.

Right now I'm finishing Web Site Story, after that I have to read some rather boring books for the university.

Andi mate.... Is Surface Detail worth getting then? Saw it in Waterstones but the robbing bastards want nearly £20 for it. Its a book I want to buy not the fucking printing press as well.... Sheesh.

Yep really good book, especially if you already into "M"s Culture-verse.

£20? Hmm not sure about that. I got it on pre-order from Amazon for about £8

It's only £9.49 now
http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_1_14?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=surface+detail&sprefix=surface+detail
Or £7.99 from the Marketplace

Or just await the paperback
