The Last Journey of William Huskisson by Simon Garfield
An entertaining, well written account of the history and events leading up to the death of Liverpools' Member for Parliament in 1830 at the hands of the infamous Stevenson's Rocket.
Riveting stuff.

Excellent, historical and as livley as Tiddles on catnip. If you like scientific stuff from the days of the great Nikola Tesla, this is about as colourful as it gets.
