Finished Light by M John Harrison. It was ok but not great, that's 3 of his I've read now, despite Light being the best of the 3 I think I'm done with him now.
Next up Slaughterhouse 5 by Kurt Vonnegut
Slaughterhouse was decent, but not sure why it's so revered as a classic SF novel.
Now onto The Fountains of Paradise by Arthur C Clarke
Now on The Kraken Wakes by John Wyndham
I got "I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue - The Best Of Forty Years" for my Birthday, so I've started dipping into that
We just bought tickets to the filming/taping of that in Leicester, they sold out in less than 4 hours
I've been lucky enough to get to two recordings back when Humph was in the chair, and one with Jack Dee. And kicking about somewhere I've got a signed poster from when Just A Minute were at the City Varieties in Leeds... (did a bit of hanging about the door afterwards - Liza Tarbuck practically dragged Paul Merton back out of the taxi )
Raw Sprit: In search of the perfect dram by Iain Banks.
Informative and a good fun read a travelogue around Scotland sampling a few wee haufs.
Indeed a great book, I have a signed copy.
Just a bit to much info about cars & driving for me though.
Loved all the stuff about Whisky & Scotland though
Yes I could have done with less about the cars, but Iain was a bit of a petrol head.
