I've read a few Baxter novels, he's good.
At the moment the 7th in the Sookie Stackhouse series From Dead to Worse quite enjoying them.
After much searching, swearing, phoning and some crying, I have finally got all the missing books in the Cornelius Murphy series and 3 of the Armageddon series. Couldn't get them all in Australia so had to get some from the UK.
Have finished Cornelius Murphy. Currently reading They Came and Ate Us.
Had a bash at Richard Dawkins' The God Delusion just recently. I like to think I have a reasonable good vocabulary at my diosposal, but I did find it hard going at times. Great book though.
I received a copy of Necrophenia for my birthday, but that will stay unopened until I have finished the Armageddon Series. With the Christmas break coming up I intend to spend quality time on holiday with a book in one hand and a cold beer in the other by a pool in tropical North Queensland.
Where did you get them from Mort?
This place is great for books from the UK to the rest of the World as the delivery is free

Just finished Enders Game by Orson Scott Card (very good)
& starting Double Star by Robert Heinlein
The Retromancer
Double Star was ok, but I expected more from a Hugo winner.
Now onto:
"Helliconia Spring" by Brian Aldiss
&
"The Time Machine" by HG Wells
I'm currently reading the Qi Book of the Dead and Plants and Animals of Pond and Stream ( prepare me for my dissertation). I've got David Attenboroughs Life Stories and the new Last Chance to See next.
(Yes, yes, I've been gone ages. I have no idea why either!)
Book of the dead and pond life?
What's the dissertation? Does it involve zombies?
I wish, its comparing animal and plant diversity in Lathkill dale. A lot of fun wading round in the river looking for invertebrates, and fish if I'm lucky.
