A very short newsletter this month as I just wanted to share some things that aren't in the next magazine (with you in the next 7-10 days) but might be of interest - these have appeared on the website so if you have seen them already, sorry
Retromancer Proof Copy.
Robert has, as he did with the Necrophenia proof, offered up a proof copy of Retromancer. This is being auctioned through the website with the proceeds going to charity. It WILL be the only proof of the book that Robert will ever sign and as such a highly desirable item, as I write this the bidding has reached £150 though it is worth more I'm sure...

Steampunk at the Asylum
Just a reminder on this one has it has been out there for all to see for a while now. If you are in the Lincoln area next weekend (11th-13th September) then Robert is a Guest at this, the largest Steampunk Convention in the UK (that's what I've heard), well worth getting along to.

Alton Wordfest
A weekend celebrating all things literary and the written word takes place in Alton, Hampshire, over the weekend of the 3rd of October. Robert is a special guest and will be presenting prizes and speaking on the Friday as well as signing books (at the Little Green Dragon Book & Art Shop) and then appearing as a guest at the event dinner on the Saturday.
He will no doubt be delighted to see some familiar faces along so if you are in the area do come along

and finally a reminder....
DA'CON - the clubs next big event planned for September 2010 is open for business and taking bookings, we have a few signed up already so make sure of your space soon.

Re: Seven - September 09
Isn't the Steampunk thing in Lincoln (not really that near Sheffield)
Re: Seven - September 09
Of course it is Andi
Brain freeze there and I have now corrected - thanks for letting me know
Re: Seven - September 09
And another mistake has been pointed out! I had put the Alton Wordfest down as September in the newsletter and it is of course in October as on the upcoming events.....
Sorry about that, hope not too much confusion has been caused.
Ian.
