Hello there all, I see that the thread advertising this only appears in the Members Area and I do want to sell tickets to everyone. The idea is that raffle tickets are now available through the club at £10 each, all the money going to the Stroke Association. This will be the only proof of this book that I will ever sign, last year and the year before we auctioned the signed proofs of the two preceding books, but this year we thought (well it was Andi"s idea) that we'd give everyone an equal go. So for a measley tenner you can buy a ticket if you wish.
AS SOON AS FIFTY TICKETS ARE SOLD THE DRAW WILL BE MADE
So, the chances are fifty to one, less if you buy more than one ticket. Please do so, it's for a good cause and please post here if you buy a ticket so I can keep count.
Ian post the link here please.
Thank you.

I'll drop you a PM with my ticket purchases, I don't want to seem brash in public
Nick have you bought half the tickets already?
Ohh & Robert - it was actually JD & Coke off this here forum who had the idea last year, but it got overlooked. I just brought up the suggestion again this year, as I thought it was a good one
Well I hope it is. It's not as exciting as the auction to watch though, is it?
Nope more of a slow burner this one. Still I'll be excited come draw day
Nope more of a slow burner this one.
Possibly mindful of the representative present from the publishers, he politely declined
Here seems to be the official cover
I was initially dissapointed when I learnt that Robert wouldn't be doing the models for the covers anymore, but these illustrations are definatly growing on me
Also does anyone else think it's odd when they put "A Novel" on the cover of some books?
It's very useful information if you're actually after minced beef...
Turning a book into a burger makes such a mess of your dentures, you know.
I wonder if, in this case, they have felt the need to state "A Novel" as the title could mislead some to assume that it is a compilation of stories - not to everyones taste...
My proof copies don't have "A NOVEL" on the front and they are not that colour.
It's all a mystery to me.
