I really enjoyed Making History.
I'm not sure it was even written as a comedy. Certainly it's a lot better if you're not expecting it to be funny

Got chatting to a work colleaguey type fellow today about books and I name dropped RR into the conversation, as was my want. It led me to downloading "The Book of Ultimate Truths" as the best way of demonstrating Robert's writing style. As a reward for my £4-ish comittment to Amazon, we now have a new convert into Rankin-dom and I'm merrily re-reading one of my favourites. :-)
