We should get this lot to brew the next lot of Large for the next Large event whenever that may be.
£30? That's nearly a pound per ABV%
Scale that down to a standard 4.5%er, would you pay £4.50
& it looks like a 330ml bottle
Hooray for brewdog!
I don't understand why there's always such a fuss when they create a strong beer. Nobody makes a fuss about whisky.
Most people wouldn't pour 330ml of whisky out into a glass
The director of brewdog says:-
a beer such as Tactical Nuclear Penguin should be drunk in "spirit sized measures".
A warning on the label states: "This is an extremely strong beer; it should be enjoyed in small servings and with an air of aristocratic nonchalance. In exactly the same manner that you would enjoy a fine whisky, a Frank Zappa album or a visit from a friendly yet anxious ghost."
Sure, but it's "a bottle of beer", what do you think most people will do with it.
I'm not really complaining here btw, just saying it's pretty silly.
Plus in my experience any beer over about 12/13% becomes pretty undrinkable.
For the price to ABV ratio, give me a bottle of nice Single Malt Whisky any day
I'd say it's a bottle to be shared with friends.
However, I do agree that I'd feel safer with a whisky, but until I've tried it I can't comment.
Plus it encourages people to try & go one further:

I remember when the Dog Head Fish - Worldwide Stout (20%ish) came out 6 or so years back
It's all very silly, I'll just stick to the tequila slammers.
Ill join you in that! x
OK, then we'll break into Luft Stalag 3
Basically what Brewdog have done is a very clever marketing campaign. They've created a likely undrinkable beer which will probably only get bought as Christmas novelty gifts, but at the same time have received free national advertising courtesy of the BBC news site, making them a household name. I doff my hat.
