Hi
___________
Just have fun
Not fully paid up yet so posting my first post here and although some may think i'm biasd being a brother of the Captain he knows I always give a truthful opinion and I have to say in the short time the new club has been up and running it has really come on in leaps and bounds. Having been to great events in the past the new bods seem to have moved everything up a gear and can't wait to see what happens.
My only negetive comment on the new site is that the background colour looks a bit bleached which dosent help to make things stand out on the page but i'm sure i'll get used to it.
I agree that the site and forum have improved dramatically and I also agree about the washed out colour. Not in keeping with an author whos books regularly have a friendly paddle in the occult and satanic.

Pick Pick Pick
Your Niece is happy in her mothers belly apparently.
Didn't mean to pick just thouht the side panels could be of a darker hue prehaps to make the center content stand out. Just feels a bit clinical and conservative for a site deicated to the High priest of Toot.
Some more reds and blues prehaps or a complementry colour from the colour wheel that would make the top banner seem brighter and stand out even more. http://painting.about.com/od/colourtheory/ss/color_theory_6.htm
I've always seen the current styling as temporary, and I agree the look of it is a bit "corporate". My main focus has been on what goes on under the hood, and there's plenty more to be done there.
If anyone is interested in helping out with the look of the site, I'd welcome their input. If you fancy putting a rough layout in a graphics program like Photoshop (or the free GIMP), I could pull the elements apart into a theme for the site (just make sure to put graphics and text on different layers). Or, if you're feeling very brave, you could have a go at it in basic HTML.
Anyone fancy having a go?

The engine under the hood is fine and the site is very good I wasn't implying a major overhaul just the colours could do with tweeking. Now get back in here Nurse .
Too scared!
