Well I made it. The new site, the new club and the new forum. I guess I should say hello to everyone and hopefully everyone will do likewise. And so to introductions....

My name is Iain, I am a train driver, born in Glasgow but living in Dumfries. Many of you will have met me at the London Launch party. I am married to Donna and have two kids, one son and one step son.

Looking forward to seeing some of your posts because you are all, from what I have seen, excellent and admirable fans. A rare thing indeed.

All the best

Iain

We are working on the

We are working on the bestest and fairest way to move from the old club to the new club without anyone feeling put out and this will all be made clear in the next magazine, in the meantime I am sorry to say that until new membership is signed upto via this site you won't get full access. To soften this blow we will be keeping the old site and forums going until all members have been given the option to join here.

Snazzy indeed. Is everything

Snazzy indeed. Is everything always going to be tremendously narrow though (what with the two sets of boxes on either side of the comments)?

Indeed

Agreed - doesn't seem to be making use of space as well as the old site.

Relocating the 3 boxes from the right column to the left column, and/or getting rid of the empty space down both sides would make a lot of sense.

New Site, New Age.....Old Sproutie joins in

Good to see that there is a new fan club site, however I'm not sure of the new layout myself. Whilst I agree with the three column layout, as I am quite used to seeing this kind of set up on other forums, the centre section does seem to be very narrow. A wee bit o jiggery pokery with the coding of the CMS should sort that out tho.Incidentially, what CMS did you use to set it up?

The site looks a bit sparse at the mo but I'm sure we'll soon tart it up a bit.

Looking forward to renewing membership and getting stuck in....as soon as I can get the dosh together anyway lol

Hello!

Well this is shiny! Got the reminder to renew membership. How long do I have cos at the moment funds are so low that even the most determined limbo practitioner would find it tricky to shimmy underneath. Next month looks likelier.

There is no great rush to renew so don't panic Smiling

That said, issue two will swing into production around mid April with it going to the printers by the second week of May - you will need to have renewed by then to ensure your copy...
