It won't because there are no opposing bids and being a Worldcon it is run on strict guide lines as in a limited company.
I would say log on to the main site and check the faq's or contact them via the web site if you have any queries so you get it from the horses mouth.
But what would normally happen if the opposing bid won and you had voted for the losing one your membership would be transferred which you could always sell if you did not want to go.
Hmmm sounds ok,
& the £60 "friend" & the £40 to vote is £100 cost towards actually attending is it?
There would be very little to pay if any after that, but as I say it's too early best to ask on the site.
Ok, thanks for the help
Right I've payed up my £60 "friend" fee.
Not paying to vote though.
Come on London
You will have to pay the rest to convert to full membership though Deep after the vote in Chicago has been counted and verified that London has the won the bid.
Yep that's fine.
You in Chicago Billy?
Yes and looking forward to it Andy, never been there before was going in 08 but Chicago lost to Denver by 12 votes which was a shock to most people, so we went there instead.
How many Worldcon's have you been too?
So when do we know London 2014 is def on?
