I wasn't happy when I tried to delete my facecbook account and found that I could only deactivate it.
If you can delete them, they hide the process pretty deep.
I always felt like I was being scanned in some way on facebook. Oddly I don't feel that way about forums

Not if you run this programme, your data comes off the systems sever and stays off if you don't try and access fb for a few weeks.
