I thought I should post this up here in the hope that some of you might be interested. My lovely wife is having a concert in Preston Old Church in Preston Park Brighton on 22nd May, at 2.30PM. She will be performing glorious classical pieces on her steel pan accompanied by a very accomplished marimba player. The church is the oldest building in Brighton and the accoustics are amazing, it makes for a very haunting and beautiful event. We thought it would be nice to follow the concert with a picnic in the park.
Tickets for the concert are available through www.brightonfestivalfringe.org.uk

trust me on this, it will be a memorable experience
Anybody keen?
I would be, but it's a bit of a trek from up here!
Edit: Yes, 524 miles on the round trip! Four and a half hours each way on the train, although the fare is a very reasonable £35 each way!
Is there any chance of Brighton being moved a bit further North in the near future??
I'm turning into a right old curmudgeon aren't I?
I recently got asked to do a charity gig. In a pub to raise a bit of money. Then I learned it was in Newcastle upon Tyne, an eight hour train journey!!!!! I had to pass on that one.

Anyone fancy coming to this?
'Fraid I shall be in Rotherham that weekend.
I think Meike and I are likely to be along for that. It was extremely good last time.
Be brilliant to see you both Jim. It should be an even better concert, the new marimba player is a bit of a genius apparently.
Sadly can't make it
It is a bit of a trip down, Andi.
