Hi,

I've added an Amazon Store section to the main menu, and a search box to the front page.

All the reviews now link to the Amazon Store. You can click on the links to see the item and pricing details, and add it to your cart then check out.

If you're buying any books (how about preordering Retromancer?), or just about anything else for that matter, why not do it through the Golden Sprout and get a few pennies for the club?

I think Ian may have taken out a second mortgage to pay for the glossy magazines, so we really need to support him here!

Any book. Or DVD. Or video game. Or toaster.

Anything I've missed?

Great. I'll try to remember to go through here next time I order.

Is there any catch at all? or is it really win / win

Re: Amazon Store

None that I know of.

We ran a less sophisticated Amazon store on Sproutlore for years and there were no issues.

You get charged the same price whether you go through us or direct to Amazon, so the only difference is that the club gets a cut.

Hooray! Will do my Christmas shopping at The Golden Sprout!

Boo! Have just bought my mum Langella's Dracula from Amazon before coming here.

3 Cheers for James, you've been busy! Smiling

(p.s. For information, the Amazon link in the book review page isn't working)

Could you elaborate please? What exactly happens for you?

For me, when you click you get a page with book details, and an Add to Cart button. When you click that, you get continue shopping and continue to checkout buttons. If you click checkout, it takes all the items you've added to your cart over to Amazon for you to buy.

If this isn't happening for you, please let me know.

Thanks,

James

Beg your pardon, I was clicking on 'Click for Amazon store details' itself, expecting it to be a link. It's not it's a heading.
Sorry about that.

Ah, I see what you mean. I'll see if I can make that a little clearer.
