Dammit! I was told 11am. I spent the whole morning trying to get my cats to wear little tinfoil helmets.
I am even now having my wounds dressed.

Well call me Sally Cynical but that whole Mayan apocalypse thang was a bit of a damp squib and no mistake.
Still, Morecambe n Wise Xmas show has just been on the Beeb so all is well

I've only been around since 1980, so I could be wrong here.
But this prophecy of doom has been the most hyped one yet.

Don't think so, there was a 'Comet Kahoutek (Sp?) scare some years ago that was mega, there were suicides and all sorts.
Stuff in the papers and on TV almost daily as it approached.
There's sure to be another end of the world scare along shortly.

Aye that and New Year's eve 1999 pub prices, we used to run the disco karaoke at the local, most people podded off to their own parties at half eleven and after that it was quieter than a normal night.
