Dear Grand Master, Gentle Ladies, Gentle Men, and Gentle Golden Sprouts,
Please accept my most heartfelt thanks for the tremendous and warm welcome you all bestowed on me during the Robert Rankin Mechanical Messiah book signing, earlier today at Forbidden Planet. Another very large thank you to the Grand Master for taking the time to study my fob watch in such detail, and for the very substantial serving of toot enunciated during the evening’s withdrawal to the local Angelic hostelry.
I feel well and truly welcomed by the Golden Sprouts. Having met one and a quarter (well one and a handshake if you know what I mean, and I’m sure that you do), previously I was still trepidatory, but the ease with which this new member was accepted was, frankly wonderful.
Thank you very much again, and I sincerely look forward to meeting with you all again,
Your humble sproutlet,
Merry Smiling
P.S. I still hope to meet up with Doctor and Nurse When, along with Mary Whitehouse, at the next event. Merry

Well I'm glad you had a good time. I always enjoy the 'spr-outings', my first (The hunt for Large in Derby) was a blast.
I'm sure you'll meet up with me at some point, but meeting the good doctor is unlikely as we are no longer an item.
