Hi everyone!
If anyone is interested in being a book reviewer, please let us know. I'm sure Ian will want reviews for the new magazine, but we'd also like them on the website. The old Sproutlore website used to earn us a few bob when people clicked on our book reviews thanks to Amazon links, so I hope we get the same going for the new club.
If you read books and could string together a few paragraphs about what you like or dislike about them, it would be great. The more reviews we have on the site, the more Amazon traffic we are likely to get. If you have old reviews saved on your hard disk, why not upload them and get them working for the club?
I haven't discussed it with Ian yet, but there's a second potential benefit. If we can show publishers that we regularly publish reviews (both online and in our magazine), they will send us review copies of books. We could probably come up with an arrangement that if you review a book you get to keep it. That's got to be an incentive.
We'd especially like to get all of Robert's books reviewed on the sites. We should have quite a few on file, but we're probably missing a few, so you could help.
Post here if you think you could be a reviewer.

What James' just said.......
There's plenty of you out there reading the books so put pen to paper and drop in a review. Besides, if just us mugs that are running the show write everything it's going to get pretty stale pretty quickly :-0
Same goes for the magazine, first issue with you all very soon, write an article, write a review, write a peice about a club event........
Save yourself the pain of reading my stuff and give all the other members the pleasure of reading yours.

I'll review for you...
Just have fun
I've done loads of reviews for ZZ9 and other clubs/fanzines (even SFX once long ago), so I'm certainly able.
But I need kicking to get them done, I'm not likely to spontaneously provide stuff.
I've got/read all Rankin/Pratchett/Adams.
I generally have a book or two on the go at the same time. Do they have to be new ones or a particular type or are we asked to read and review particular books?
Where do we put the reviews?
Questions, questions, but I'd be happy to review anyway.

Old books, new books - any books really is the answer. Post them to the admin link in the contact us link and someone here will get round to posting them with the Amazon links....
Especially good / interesting ones might appear in the magazine first.
I've just thought, do you want reviews now or are you just testing the water?

Does it have to be books? How about DVD film reviews?

Did you get my review of "The Liar" Ian?
