I have made an offer on the above book at 99p, I would not suggest for one moment however that other people make stupid offers to piss the seller off! Eye-wink

For whats its worth I am trying to report the listing with eBay. Just the usual, its classed as promotional material, breach of copyright, theft of intelectual property. They may even act upon it. If nothing else I would dearly love to see the seller squirming when ebay pull his listing. More than that I would love to know if he even bothered to read it, as that is what he is meant to do, to find errors etc. And charging nearly £50? Quite a mark up for an unscrupulous fuck dont you think?

Whilst I agree with all you say there, you do make it hard for me to get hold of my copy Iain Eye-wink

As for reading it, I doubt it, he wouldn't get as much money for it. I've bought several proofs over the years & I think they were all "unread". More than finding errors aren't they sent out for review purposes?

£50 is to rich for me though, so get it removed Smiling

Re: Proof ahoy

They are review copies, if you check the seller's other items they are usually more proofs. Reviewers consider it a perk of the job, and if you work it out they earn A LOT of money each year selling this stuff.
Trouble is if I hassle them they might choose to give me a bad review in return.
I find it distasteful and downright dishonest really, as it quite clearly says on the covers that they are not for resale.
But, hey, what can you do, eh?

Hire a hitman who lives in West Yorkshire, and needs money to help replace his now written off car, to go sort them out? Laughing out loud
