From the Grand Master himself, and barely 1 minute old, I have great news on the launch of the 32nd Robert Rankin masterpiece (I've seen it - it's good, very good) "The Japanese Devil Fish Girl and other Unatural Attractions".
Robert will be launching the book at the "Steampunk at the Asylum" weekend (heartily endorsed here), 10th-12th September, with the official Golden Sprout launch and signing taking place the at Dacon weekend event, 24th - 26 September. Make it to both if you can, I certainly intend to, but definitely make it to Dacon and support the club at what will be a brilliant weekend of lovecraft, steampunk and alternate history as well as lots of fun, frolics and mayhem in the finest club traditions.
Very close together, I reckon I'd have to choose one or the other...
Under those criteria I have to ask - there's a choice?
We're not going to the Asylum this year. Once again, it clashes with Doctor When's portrayal of William Burgess at Cardiff castle.
We shall be coming to Dacon though. Well I will, Simon can't plan more than 4 days ahead without triple booking himself, so he may or may not come.
