Anyone know when this will be, or when we can expect dates & locations to be published?
Unfortunately, due to the launch date of the book and other commitments there is no launch tour as such
Currently there is a book signing on the 12th December at Forbidden Planet London - more details to follow on this - and hopefully a goodly number of members will come along and then retire to a local hostelry afterwards.
We are looking at organising another signing fixture in January, again, details to follow should this happen.
Then of course Robert is at the SFX Weekender in February to which a number of members are already coming.
Sorry there is not more to offer but the launch timing and the large number of other personal and professional commitments have made this difficult.
If anything should change or anything else come up I will of course make sure you all get to know
I've never been to a book signing before. Does anything happen? (Other than forming a queue and having a book signed)

Well a big fat BOOOOO to that.... I had hoped that the last signing tour marked the resurgence of these things (the North & Scotland having been ignored by the publishers for several years), was great to have RR back in Newcastle for some beers and toot. Big shame.

Damn, can't make it, that's the same day as my work Xmas party.

Sounds good - any chance it could be held somewhere vaguely central (e.g. Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham), so that as many folks as possible can get there?

Thanks Ian.

Typically Robert does a bit of a chat, maybe a few songs, answers a few questions.... then we all do the queuing thing and Robert does the signing thing..... then if it's an evening signing, we all (Robert included) troop off to a local pub for beer & toot. They are very wonderful events, sadly the publishers seem to view them as an unecessary expense these days....

You have the work party on a Saturday?
Fortunately we're not having one so it's nice and easy for me not to clash on that front.

Yep, Saturday night. We never have work parties during working hours, they're usually on a Friday or Saturday night. We have to pay for them ourselves these days, but at least that means we get some choice over when/where they are.
Ours have historically been on Friday nights, mostly because in our office only a core few would ever come out on a weekend.
