Continuing an old thread from the Sproutlore forum (if this has worked)...
To post videos put [ video:url ] in your message (with no spaces between the square bracket and video). The URL (after the colon) should be one of the following:
- YouTube. Accepts URLs like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uN1qUeId
- Google Video. Accepts URLs like http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-uN1qUeId
- Tangle (prev. Godtube). Accepts URLs like http://www.tangle.com/view_video.php?viewkey=uN1qUeId
- DailyMotion. Accepts URLs like http://www.dailymotion.com/us/featured/video/x59guz_iron-man-addictive-tv-remix_shortfilms
- Eyespot. Accepts URLs like http://eyespot.com/share?cmd=permalink&r=0XCzIG2UEx9hoXiEJW07IWpUtT
- Jumpcut. Accepts URLs like http://jumpcut.com/view?id=31410FA4169E11DDB25E000423CF385C

I hate to be whiney, but I think that's a pretty good advert for just 2 columns rather than 3.

They almost work, I just can't get them to appear without cutting and pasting.
Yes, that's me (with a wig). Unfortunately, I recently hung up my spanglies and retired. I heard the comment "Wow! You're really good for your age" too often from people who didn't seem to understand that it isn't a compliment.
Great Brightonomicon video. I love the way Robert drives off and leaves the interviewer. 
By the way, when replying, there are still 3 columns (or do you need the third one to float the smilies in?), but altogether, it's coming along great guns.

I can't help feeling that the smileys box is supposed to insert into the comment box, though it is possible to have forms on the site with more than one textbox, so I'm not sure how it knows which box to insert them in. I will investigate.
I think the right hand column is useful for the smileys bar when posting, so it's likely to stay. My aim is to limit it to relevant content, so stuff you don't need to see should disappear.
Trying to line up the smileys with the comment box is tricky as we don't know how far down the comment box will be. It may be possible to put the comment box above the message you're replying to (which is the way it was in the old forum), which might make matters easier.
